Face The Future Foundation:
Dr. Brace's Mission To Ukraine

In 2023, Dr. Brace was approached by the founder of the Face The Future Foundation to be a part of a mission helping the victims of war-torn Ukraine. Face The Future Foundation is a humanitarian group that has delivered life-saving and life-changing plastic reconstructive surgery to those in need since 1996.

Beauty for Hope

Breast cancer can impact the important women in your life - mothers, grandmothers, wives, girlfriends, aunts, sisters, cousins, and friends where 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2019, this hit close to home as Dr. Brace had a family member directly impacted by this disease; so supporting a local program became of utmost and personal importance to him.

October is the dedicated time when we can educate ourselves, raise awareness and share stories about Breast Cancer. In honour of #breastcancerawareness month, Dr. Brace opened his doors for a special clinic day in 2020 ‘Dysport to Show Support’ to administer cosmetic neuromodulator treatments. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this day were donated to breast cancer research with a total tally of $3,000.

In 2021, GFP switched gears and for the entire month of October, 50% of proceeds from Dysport injections were donated to the Grand River Hospital – Waterloo Wellington Breast Centre Fund tallying $4,185.

In 2023, Dr. Brace & his team decided to set their sights higher, working together with five other local medical aesthetic clinics to get more people from the community involved and increase their impact. And, led by Dr. Brace, Kate (clinic manager), and the team at Guelph Facial Plastics in collaboration with Guelph Skin Clinic, Luminosity Studios, Derma Skin Institute, Guelph Medical Laser, and ArtMed, the Beauty for Hope campaign raised more than $17,000 for breast cancer care at the Hospital in 2023. Together, our support made it possible to fund the equipment, tools, and resources the Grand River team need to continually provide exceptional care, helping keep cancer care close to home for all who need it.

Beauty for Hope will return again this coming October in support of the Waterloo Wellington Breast Centre at Grand River Hospital. And, we are excited to be opening up participation to organizations across local regions and beyond.

Local organizations that are interested in participating can reach out to Kate directly at [email protected]
